Varsam was the youngest son of Valentine Wiggin and Jakt.[1] He was first introduced in Xenocide.

Varsam, along with his siblings Ro and Syfte were born in the years after their uncle Andrew Wiggin left for Lusitania.[1]
After the Lusitanian Rebellion, Valentine decided to move the family to Lusitania to help Andrew and the efforts of the Lusos there. Varsam, despite living his whole life on Trondheim, decided to go with Valentine and Jakt.[1]
Xenocide[]
On the voyage to Lustiania, Varsam shared a compartment with Plikt and his sister Ro.[1]
After they had arrived, Varsam went on the expedition to recover Quim Ribeira's body after he had been killed by the Pequenino Fathertree Warmaker.[1]
