The Shimbir was a Somali pirate ship captained by Khalid.[1]
Description[]
The crew of the Shimbir relied on searching for supplies, scavenging ships, and fear of their captain Khalid. Compared to ships such as the Gagakthe Shimbir would be considered vultures, as they had a willingness to prey on ships with people still living.[1]

Earth Afire[]
During the events of the First Formic War, the Shimbir attacked the Gagak, while it was salvaging ships. The Gagak successfully escaped.[1]
The Swarm[]
Khalid decided to attack an asteroid in the Kuiper Belt with an expensive mining ship, which did not end up being much. Instead, Khalid decided to attack a nearby ship of the International Fleet for needed supplies. After the attack was successful, Khalid decided to use parts of the IF Ship to upgrade the Shimbir instead of abandoning the ship.[2]
Using the Starcharts of the IF ship, Khalid continued to use the Shimbir to attack IF ships. He eventually attacked the Bajovnik, and he had Gustaaf Rynsburger install the ansible of the Bajovnik aboard the Shimbir.[2]
