Non canonically, Ren was the son of Valentine Wiggin and Jakt.[1] He was first introduced in Speaker for the Dead.
Canonicity[]
The Authorized Ender Companion states that Valentine only had three children, Syfte, Ro, and Varsam. Along with this, Ren was never mentioned after Speaker, and his sister Ro appears in Xenocide, who is stated to have been born the same time that Ren was stated to in Speaker.[2][1][3]
It thus seems that Ren was a mistake on Orson Scott Card's part, and to present a coherent view of the Enderverse on this wiki, Ren is considered to not be canon.

Speaker for the Dead[]
Ren was born in 3130 AX, about 2 years after his uncle Andrew Wiggin left for Lusitania.[1]
After the Lusitanian Rebellion, Valentine decided to move the family to Lusitania to help Andrew and the efforts of the Lusos there. Ren, despite living his whole life on Trondheim, decided to go with Valentine and Jakt.[1]
