"Messenger" is a short story written by Orson Scott Card. It tells the story of Hyrum Graff waking up from stasis in the far future. Originally posted to Orson Scott Card's Uncle Orson On the Fly subscribers' area on September 10, 2018[1], it was not officially published until the release of the anthology Infinite Stars: Dark Frontiers on November 5, 2019.[2]
After the release of The Last Shadow, the short story is no longer Canon.[3]

The story shows Graff waking up from thousands of years of Stasis aboard the Herodotus, where he encounters Ender Delphiki, Carlotta Delphiki, and Cincinnatus Delphiki, the children of Bean with Anton's Key who left Earth.
