Hey there. I really like the novels, but not all of them are the same level of quality. See Enderverse for a list of all the novels and sub-series. I highly reccomend Ender's Game, the original novel, as well as the rest of the Ender Quintet. The rest of the Ender Quintet is very different from Ender's Game, however, they are very philisophical and wordy, aside from Ender in Exile. The Shadow Saga is another sub-series, and is more similar to the child soldier kind of stuff from Ender's Game. The First and Second Formic Wars are very action-oriented and sci-fi. So, you can really choose which series sounds the best to read, but the only one I can reccomend to everyone is Ender's Game.
I believe the front page has a talk page where edits can be suggested, though since I don't really monitor the edit logs anymore then my message board is the best way to suggest any sort of edits. I should have time some point soon to add Messenger and the Discord link to the front page, thanks for letting me know.
There were some formatting issues with how it was inserted (the Visual Editor does this on its own, no fault of yours) and I didn't have the time to go and manually fix it at the time so I rolled it back. I'll have time later today to re-insert it. Thank you for finding the image and contributing it!
Hi, My Name is Troy, and i was wondering how active the moderation team is? I have just finished reading all the books, in Ender's Universe and was wondering if I could complete the knowledge on some of the pages, Jane for example. I would like to add all the information that is missing, but I dont want my efforts to be in vain if the team for approving is not very active. Anyways Thanks for reading, and Have a nice day :) <3
Go for it! I'd like to be more active but life has a way of preventing that. The only other mod besides myself has not been active in over a year so I wouldn't count on his presence here either. I will try and profreed your edits along with others made recently to make sure the wiki stays consistent, but if you want to add more information then go right ahead; thats the point of a wiki after all.
Nice! I just discovered I have read all the books except the set of short stores. First Meetings in the ender universe. I've ordered it and then once ive finished that ill start editing pages. Hopefully when someone oneday reads the series they will come to a complete wiki with everything perfectly preserved. Regards Troy.
I've noticed that you've removed mentions of something we've been demanding for since the 2013 film, a TV series reboot of Ender's Game.
You may have known by now that the film adaptation of Ender's Game was pretty rushed, because of the medium. Character development cannot fit into a two-hour film, as does worldbuilding. There is so much being left out for that 2013 film.
I suggest reading through this November 2013 article on Variety. Key is that, during the annual shareholders conference call, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer speculated that the Ender's franchise could spin-off into a TV series. He could mean Ender's Game be rebooted on TV.
So the short answer is that ever since there was discussion of TV tackling book adaptations in the wake of Game of Thrones and The Expanse, there has been discussion about Ender's Game being reborn as a TV show.
While I too like the idea of an Ender’s Game TV series, that’s all it is—an idea. It is not in production, nor has it even been announced; it is simply a fan concept. Just because the Lionsgate CEO said it was a possibility 5 years ago does not mean it is going to happen. This wiki is only for factual information, so it does not belong here.
I strongly support the idea of redoing Ender's Game (and Mortal Engines) as a TV series and I even tend to rant about it from time to time, but I think it might be safe for me to put in factual information in this wiki. I don't want to ever be disruptive on this wiki.
However, as for the idea, I suspect the studio may have already exhausted their ability to express their interest of re-adapting Ender's Game at this time. Given Orson Scott Card's hateful bigotry and other bad political stances (anti-Obama and other conspiratorial stuff like Bush needed 9/11 etc.), people don't like him getting money.
So, I'm just gonna let you know that I'm removing myself from admin and bureaucrat roles, since I haven't contributed to the wiki in literally years, and you've done way more work than I could have ever hoped to accomplish.
I checked a few days ago, the last edit for The Swarm was finishing chapter 21 information. So, we have 22 and onward to still do. Sounds good! I've got work and school still going on so I'm not going to be as active as I have been in days past, but I'll help out where I can.
Thanks. I just want to see about getting that book finished with the new one incoming. I also have school work and stuff, but I would like to read some more, so I will be trying to make time to work on this a little.
I just started my updates to try and finish off the Swarm. Let me know if there are any editing mistiakes since it has been awhile since I last edited. My plan is to finish the book before Christmas break is over that way it is off my plate since I have technically been reading it for over a year now.
Thought I would give you an update, Ch. 27 is the next chapter to go, so 4 chapters left and approximately 50 pages. Trying my best to get this finished by the time my Spring semester starts, so I no longer have this book on my radar to finish reading.
