Mayumi was the wife of Ender Delphiki and the mother of Petra 'Little Mum' Delphiki and Mazer 'Boss' Delphiki.[1] She was first introduced in The Last Shadow.

In 3165 AX, Mayumi met Ender Delphiki and married him. She gave birth to Petra Delphiki in 3166 AX and a year later gave birth to Mazer Delphiki. They lived as a family until 3169 AX, when Ender and his siblings kidnapped their children and took them aboard the relatavistic starship Herodotus. However, depsite this evil act, Mayumi never remarried.[1]
In 3180 AX, Ender and his siblings were Detoured back to Nokonoshima to reuinite with their spouses. They called a meeting but Cincinnatus did not attend. The Delphikis asked their spouses to leave Nokonoshima and go to Lusitania with them to see their children, but they all three refused. They questioned how they had arrived instantaneously and did not forgive them for stealing their children. After talking a bit more, however, Yuuto agreed to go back with them, as he thought the children needed a father figure, but he did not say he would forgive Carlotta.[1]
Mayumi and Yuuto went with their spouses to Lusitania where they met Thulium Delphiki, Cincinnatus' daughter.[1]
After the Descolada problem was solved, the Leguminids had a meeting that was also attended by Miro Ribeira. They realized that a normal world and education were off the table for them, as well as returning to the Herodotus, as it had already been claimed by Sergeant and the twins. Thulium said she intended to travel but would usually stay on Lusitania, and Miro said that he, Jane, Peter, and Wang-mu would stay there as well. Boss asked if they could stay at their building on Lusitania, and Miro agreed if Yuuto would pay for it. The rest of the Leguminids agreed to stay and live with the people of Lusitania.[1]
Ender and Mayumi bought a house on the planet where they lived with their children. Some time later, Wang-mu gave birth to her and Peter's son, Fei-Tzu Wiggin, and Ender and Mayumi would sometimes babysit for him.[1]
