Hannah Tolo was the mother of Abra Tolo and a colonist on the planet of Shakespeare.[1] She was first introduced in Ender in Exile.

As Hannah raised her son Abra, she urged him sometimes to go with the other children, to leave whatever job he was doing, but Abra preferred working with machines and adults.[1]
In 43 AX, Abra was asked by the governor, Ender Wiggin, to accompany him as he searched for land for an incoming colony ship to settle. Hannah told her son to be responsible and careful.[1]
