Andrew Delphiki was the son of Petra Arkanian and Bean, born by a surrogate mother.[2] He was first introduced in Shadow of the Giant.

Andrew's embryo was stolen by Achilles de Flandres to be implanted in a surrogate mother. After he was born, he was quickly discovered and returned to Bean and Petra. He would remain behind on Earth, while his three siblings with Anton's Key would leave with their father in a starship to wait until a cure was discovered. To avoid suspicion when Andrew 'Ender' Delphiki disappeared, the one with Anton's Key was nicknamed Ender while his sibling on Earth was named Andrew.[2]
Andrew was moved with the rest of his siblings to Blackstream, Brazil, where he was cared for by his grandparents, Elena and Julian Delphiki I. A year after his birth, his mother Petra finally returned home from war to see her children. Andrew roomed with his sister Bella Delphiki, but according to his grandparents he "never slept".[2]
When Petra came to check on Andrew and Bella, he sat up in his crib and greeted her. This surprised Petra, but she realized that her and Bean's intellect would have created very intelligent children.[2]
Ender in Exile[]
By 62 AX, Andrew was shown to have married a woman named Lani and had two teenaged children. After his mother Petra received a letter from Ender Wiggin, she began to cry and Lani assumed somebody had died. Andrew hugged his wife and explained that those were tears of joy, for her last son Arkanian Delphiki had been finally found.[1]
